Loading GL onto Ramp Truck

Just wondering what the correct method to use when loading a Triked GL up onto a ramp truck. I have seen several methods used as to where to connect the winch but all look like they could do some serious damage to the Trike.

Some ramp truck services have a dolly that has 4 small wheels on a low to the ground platform dolly that has a wheel chock in the front. The Trike is pushed forward onto the platform and then the front wheel itself is locked in place. The front of the platform dolly has a hook that receives the winch cable then the entire dolly with the trike is pulled up onto the ramp truck.

This looks like the best method but not all ramp truck services have this dolly.

Assuming that a dolly like this is not available, where on the Trike should the winch be attached too.

Since everything is plastic the only place on the front to connect would be the engine guards. Connect to both sides with soft ties to share the load and keep straps away from any plastic parts. I would also be seated to hold the brake in case something bad happens. As the rear wheels approach the ramp it might be necessary to put boards beneath the rear wheels so the exhaust doesn't drag during transition.

Connecting to the engine guards with tension forward is not a good idea. It can tend to loosen the bolts, which are small on each side. I would never try to pull the weight of the Trike with the engine guards. If you saw how small those bolts on that hold them, I'd bet you would find an alternative. Just IMHO.
