Lehman Monarch II swingarm arm bushings

I think I found the last set of bushings for my 2004 gl1800 Lehman monarch II. I had to buy the swingarm and the bushings as a set. I have an extra swingarm now. I believe it was the last set that Lee H Man had at MJ Trikes. The old bushings had totally Deteriorated. They look like crumbling pieces of tar like rubbery particles. I would really like to know how those bushings got in that kind of shape. I just bought the trike and it was a one owner, always in the garage, with only 4000 original miles.

anyway it was tough getting the bushings to slide in position on the swing arm and then the hardest part was getting the swingarm slid into the rear differential properly so the bolts would go through and connect the swingarm to the rear differential. It was a very tight fit but I managed to get it done and it looks great.

Im a new owner of a 2005 Leyman Monarch 5000 miles. My bushings were shot just like yours. Found bushings on Amazon. I took my trike in and had them replaced along with the original spring and pump line of the Honda shock. My tires were hitting the fenders with 2 up.

You have a photo of the bushings why is there4? Does two go into each side? Were these rubber or Polyurethane? LAT want 535 dollars for them is that sound right to you? Terry seney@live.ca

I am still trying to find these swingarm bushings too without paying 700 dollars for them. I am thinking of making my own mold and making them with 3M Windo Weld #08609 it is Polyurethane.
