I was in the shop checking things on the bike and I discovered that
the left channel of my cb to my helmet was dead. So I plugged into the passenger plug and the left channel is dead there also. I assume that the wire
is broken somewhere in the trunk. What color wire am i looking for and I am open to any and all suggestion. The trike is a 2003 if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

CB doesn't have a left or right channel like a stero. It goes to both sides in the bike stero system.
Check and make sure the "fader" for left to right is not set to right only.
Check the easy things first.

Probably the cord that connects your helmet to the bike. Reverse the cord to see if that helps. Can you borrow someone's cord to try ? Like was said, do the simple stuff first. I doubt that any wires have broken unless you have removed the CB or done some other work. It's all plug and play with little to go wrong.
Betting helmet cord.....

Like others have said, no right/left channel for CB.... If you have a J & M headset, probably one of the little slide apart connectors for your headset that connect ear pieces (and mic) to harness inside your helmet that need cleaning. Easy to remove, clean contacts and coat with di-electric grease - do all three while you are there...
