LED tail lights

When did Champion start installing LED tail lights? The ones that turn orange and red?? Trying to ID the year of conversion. Tag on swing arm is gone.

If they started putting LEDs in the tail lights, it's news to me. My bike just got a Champion conversion in November and it didn't come with LEDs. It has them now because I put them in, but they weren't there from the factory.

Just for curiosity I did a search on the Champion website for LED tail lights and this is their answer - "There is no product that matches the search criteria.".

Trunk light is also LED

I have an 07 Roadstar that had a Champion kit installed in '09 or '10. It has led brake/ts. My wife's 07 VTX1300 also has a Champion kit installed with the same lights. Not sure when it was triked since we bought it used.

Yes it looks like my Road Star 1700. Trike kit kit 2 years ago.

Same taillights that are on my Kawi/Champion and they are LED Turns are orange and Tail lights are red.

Better not have been looking without me knowing about it! I thought it was a raccoon that got into my garage. Now you're telling me it could have been a forum member! Whoever owned the trike probably did like I did and just replaced the bulbs. I already had a equalizer wired up for the turn signals. I had LEDs on the bike before I converted it.

Have you tried contacting the previous owner, there is always a paper trail with titled vehicles. If you haven't already, I would start with the person or store you bought it from, there is always a way to track this stuff, but sometimes it takes a little work. I would hope that the previous owners would be helpful, it's not like you are trying to hunt someone down & kill them or are you.

I saw the photo of your trike in an other post, you got a good looking trike.

Lucky you. I wonder why some models have them and some (mine!) don't? I understand LEDs are a lot more expensive, but if you are going to put them in one model, seems like you would put them in all.
