LED License Plate Light

I have a 2014 and have changed all of the lights to LED’s except for the license plate light. Has anyone changed this one to an LED? Is it just a bulb change? Something I can get at the local auto parts store or did you have to order it from somewhere.

yep changed mine to LED plate lights..on my 2010 there were 2 bulbs..I am guessing the same for the 2014.You will have to remove it from the inside door (Screws) to gain access to the bulbs.

Mine were the same as a 194 wedge bulb..But please check first on your application.

depends on the LED you buy and made it more of a whiter light on the plate.

On the trike I got rid of the OEM light and replaced it with LED tag bolts from Custom Dynamics. http://www.customdynamics.com/illuminatorz_licence_plates.htm#LED_Tag_Bolts
I put a license plate box on the Triumph, and it moved the plate out enough that the tail light didn't shine on the tag. I put the dual color Tag Bolts on to replace the OEM light. They show white light on the plate, and red to the rear. They can be set up as running lights, or combination running/brake lights with a Custom Dynamics dual converter.
