Scott, does she live alone? If so , it sounds like she is unloading on both of you. Also us older folks find it hard to except change.

My MIL lives over 600 mi away and trust me that's a good thing. Consitter and I would probably be better aquatinted if she lived closer.
Yup, we lost my FIL in September. Another daughter live next door and they are constantly together, but she tends to unload on us instead of her. It's not the change so much, as her disbelief she does anything wrong.

We live less than a mile apart. And nah, I'm sure you're exaggerating. But I've got a good spot for you as a unit orderly if anything happens.![]()
BTW, I ordered chrome wheels for the rear of my trike and thought I should chrome the front to match, even though most of it is not visible due to the brake rotors. I told the dealer that I was going to do this and he suggested I just purchase a new wheel from him already chromed and with new tire, installed on my ride. So this is how this went. They apparently have about 10 brand new wheels off of trike conversion that have been chromed by the same place I am going to use in California. They said they would any tire of my choice and new wheel bearings and swap them out. Total price $633 + tax. Plus I had to give them my old wheel with its slightly used tire (only about 2,000 miles) as a core. Well the way I figured it take the $633 plus tax and the old wheel and tire that I already had a buyer for $300 equals a hair under $1,000. A pretty expensive front wheel. They said they were doing me a favor and I wouldn't have to wait for the shipping and return.
Well at my Blue Knights meeting last night, I asked one of our members if he was using his GL1800 right now and he said no. I then asked if I could borrow his front wheel for about 5 week while I ship mine off for chroming. He said, "Sure." So after the meeting I removed his wheel and placed it in my truck, I will swap it when I arrive at the dealer in a few hours. Now for the cost difference. The price to chrome it is $285 including return shipping, $35 to ship it there and new "all balls" (not Honda) wheel bearings are $18. I take the wheel to my local Honda shop where my neighbor works. They will remove my old bearings and reinstall after chroming for $20. The removal of the old tire and new tire install is $25 plus tax for the parts and install. Oh the new tire is about $120. The total cost for me is, $520.84. When I told him this, he said see we are real close. Mine is only $113 more and you don't have to do anything. He forgets and tax on his plus the sale of my old wheel which he intends to chrome and sell it as another $633 package. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see the win-win that he kept talking about. All I could see is the K-Y in his hand. I wonder what that was for?

I just read the weather forecast and it said we are supposed to have 16mph winds with gusts up to 30mph!! I might have to think twice about that ride. Gusts like that can really blow you around. Or, blow cars into you.Well the only way I can ride today is to sit on the bike while trailering it to the dealer. Also I hope I don't run into issues taking it there, the wind is hollowing outside and I drive a 1 ton dually.
If you ride today just watch out for the gusts that seem to blow you around, especially when you come out into an open area away from the tree line.

I'm pulling my Toyhauler home mid day today. Sustained 25mph winds with gusts higher from the west. I'll be heading south almost the entire 150 miles. :AGGHH: Great time to see how well the 4pt hitch works as well as the trucks sway control.
I would suspect this will be an advantage on a 3 wheeler as opposed to 2. I remember getting buffeted around on my 2 wheeler when there were big wind gusts. I'm sure I'll still be moved around just like you are in a car, but it won't be nearly as scary as on a regular motorcycle.
That's probably true. Every time I ride my 2 wheeler i get pushed around, usually into the lane of oncoming traffic, on two lane roads. I can't wait to see how this will change with the trike. Signing off talk to you tomorrow.
Glad to hear you made it safe. With the 4 point hitch and trailer sway control on the truck it pulled with no sway issues at all. Even with the high winds.
Last night just prior to the straight line winds blowing through here, I took a photo of the sunset while standing next to my Wing on the trailer for delivery to have it converted to the trike. Just breathtaking!
I can't figure out why it did it but there are 3 photos.
A lot of trailer sway is caused by not having enough weight on the trailer tongue..
ie; The load is too far back on the trailer...
Morning Scott.
Wide awake, unwinding from the band gig tonight. We stopped at Ihop on the way home and had three cups of coffee and half of a veggie omelette. (shoulda had decaf). :AGGHH:
Glad you're around. I need the entertainment. If you have pics of the gig, post them.
The band folks didn't get any, but there's probably some floating around Faceplace. I'll see what I can find.
Hey, Guys glad to see some one moving, Bill, maybe it was the veggie omelet and not the coffee.
