YUP! Last ride was taking my two grand daughter's out for a spin the other day before they headed back home to Mi. It was early for them 6:45 am. But it was already getting warm and they don't like HOT. Our high here was 110 in the shade. No one I know rides in the shade so off we went around our small little city. Then went back to pick up the youngest one 12 and take here around also. We were both sweating at the lights waiting for them to change. BUT they both liked it enough to say they'd go again when it got cooler. lol Now It won;t be till late Sept till I take her out again for a spin.

Vacation time is coming up next week. Were heading for cooler climates north of here for a few months. :clapping:

I'm not understanding something here .............. I'm in N. central TX and it gets damn hot here too ............... And we still keep riding, even with the killer humidity to boot. Buy a good hydration jacket, lightweight long sleeve all cotton shirt or a mesh riding jacket.

Couple of years ago on a ride through Arizona and Nevada wife and I found Harley Wet Vests. Soak them in water for about 3 minutes, they will keep your core cool for 2 or 3 hours. Stop, soak them again and off you go. It is dry as a buffalo chip here in So. Cal, and in Arizona where our other house is. Doubt if they would work in high humidity

Yep a wet vest and mesh jacket makes a lot of difference out here in the desert. This time of the year I ride early morning or after the sun goes down. 110+ is hot in the middle of the day. Every chance we get we head up to Ruidoso or Cloudcroft, 8500 above sea level cools off things about 30 degrees. Jim

After talking with you two I'm thinking we will be out on those trikes for a ride long before late September! Been gone long enough and time to head back in a few days! After sundown rides to the DQ or Sonic are waiting.....See you back in AZ bffs! :wave4:

Love that area. I was stationed at WSMR, RSD and assigned to Holloman AFB, Alamogordo for 7 years. Best duty station I ever had during my 20+ years. Yes the riding was outstanding even back then on my new Honda 175.

Mine was 175 Yahama at the same AFB and rode to Cloudcroft a lot back then. It was early '70s.
