Kuryakyn floor boards

I'm in the process of having a Hannigan trike kit installed on my 08 GW. I'm told that my Kury boards and heel-toe shifter won't fit with the Hannigan foot fairings. I feel cramped with the stock foot pegs so my installer suggested doing away with everything and simply use the foot fairings alone. It seems to make sense since the fairings are weight bearing and the reach to the stock shifter and brake pedal from the fairing(s) is reasonable. I'm sure someone out there has run into this same problem - how did it work out for you. I'm expecting delivery of my new trike in a few weeks. Can't wait but disappointed that I'm running out of riding season.

I don't have personal experience with your setup but there are a few here that have ditched their boards to get more comfort.

Exactly what I did shortly after getting my Hannigan-took off the OEM pegs!
Couple of suggestions:
Put some 3M StoneGard on the upper painted areas of the foot fairings just outboard of the foot wells. This will prevent paint scratching should you inadvertently get your feet on that area.
Added a Kury heal rest on the brake pedal side. Makes uses the brake pedal a lot easier.

I don't know about Hannigan but on the Road Smith you have to cut the left inside aquawing (foot fairings) to allow for the Kury boards to fit.
