My 2007 wing came with the Kuryakyn Passenger Armrest . I know they are a pain to make sure they are swung out before opening the tour pak. I have a problem keeping one side from loosening up. I take the bottom cone of and tighten the 1/2 inch nuts but it still loosens up all the time. Any body have this problem ?
Kuryakyn parts number KU8991

Yes it can be a pain at times. Had the same problem over and over intil i took it completely apart and cleaned all the parts then re oiled eveything with good oil, not wd40.

I then retightened everything. Works good now. Like to have p***ed me off

I tried locktite it did not help that much and finally went back like it was. The 2 jam nuts for some reason will losen by using the arm rests. After cleaning all the parts to raw metal, no oil and then reoiling with good oil it stopped losening.

Oil can losen blue locktite when using for jam nuts. Clean it real good to be certain there is no oil then apply the locktite, either use a stick or allow it to dry completely before using. Jam nuts can run you batty sometimes. A lot of the equipment i used when I worked had lots of jam nuts for easy adjustments. Some of them would give me a fit at times.
