Kudos to my dealership

Dang, our trike is 3 years old and where we keep it there is no electricity but we normally ride every week so that hasn't been a problem with the battery till a couple of days ago. We have left it for a month a couple of times without a problem but not this time, I guess with the cold weather and not running it finally did it in.

Gulf Coast Harley in New Port Richey, Fl is our dealer so off we went for a new battery, when we got to the service department I was asking about the price and my service guy asked what happened. After our short story he said we'll pick it up for you, wait, what? My first question was how much, the answer was no charge, wait, what again. Any how, they picked it up next day and we're back in business, excellent service and a good group of folks at our dealership, they've always treated us great.

It's easy to talk about the things that go bad.

My dealer, Barnett's HD Las Cruces, has always been top notch for me. I have bought 3 mc and 1 trike from them.

Nov 2010 I had the dealer install the 103 kit on the 07 ultra. I had 11k miles on the ultra and wanted a little more push.

On the test ride, with the tech riding, the rear piston exploded. The dealer was on the phone with the HD rep and had him there in 1 day, he was in El Paso.

After a quick look the HD rep said new engine, and all the warning signs said the piston blew.

This is what the dealer talked the rep into. New 96 CI, factory build with the same ser # as the old engine. Then all new parts for the 103CI upgrade. 1st oil change at 500 miles on new engine at no cost.

Everything at the dealer has always been good. Jim
