Knoxville Honda Great Experience

While on the Run For The Wall my Motortrike started clicking and rattling in Shreveport LA.
On the advice of many I kept on riding. That is until the u-joint eventually failed.outside of Cleveland, TN.
Had the trike and trailer trucked to Knoxville Honda Yamaha. They are also a Motortrike dealer.

They got right on finding out the problem and ordering parts. In just a week the.u-joints and related parts were ordered shipped and installed.

Only problem was the output shaft in the engine had also been damaged. While they had the engine out they installed a new clutch.

We were originally told 3-4 weeks to get the Honda parts.

Not only was it only 3 weeks to complete the job the total bill was MUCH less and the estimate.

Throughout the entire process the service manager kept us informed.

To me the entire process was made much better by the people at the service department who realized the anxieties I was experiencing and acted accordingly. Something one does not see often these days.

Must be something in the water in Knoxville area. I've found the HD dealer to be excellent also when passing through with issues.

:wave4:.....There are still some good people out there willing to help , and understanding your needs , that will go that extra mile to help . I had a similar thing happen in Tenn a couple years ago and a gentleman spent half a day and his time to help us , would not take a penny for his efforts . These are people you don't forget and my obligation to pass it forward and I do any chance I get .
All I ask is don't mistake my kindness for weakness , there are people out there always needing a hand , we just got to be willing , wouldn't it be a much better place if we were all that way .
......Very glad it worked out for you ,being in trucking so many years I know what it's like to be at the mercy of someone else , just to be screwed at the end but I don't have to be that way !!!! and I won't .......ThumbUp

We were at Knoxville Honda about a month ago. MotorTrike was there with their trike display. Knoxville Honda has a great looking looking business with lots of bikes/trikes and their acc. and parts dept both were well stocked, friendly bunch of people. Charley

Yep, the Knoxville Honda/Harley Dealerships are Top Notch....Fine Folks...I've used Them twice over the years while in the Area with "Tire Issues"...ThumbUp....Sounds like MOTOR TRIKE must have been prompt with sending Your Parts also...They've been Great also with All of my Dealings with Them.....ThumbUp

I'm glad you received good service from the dealer and applaud you for giving it an attaboy. It does seem like an awful long time to wait for parts.

The quote of 3-4 weeks to get parts was before they had pulled the engine. The total time it was in their shop was 3 weeks. Either parts were more readily available or the internal engine damage was less.

I've had dealers say to come back in a number of weeks to even get into a shop. (This happened to my husband at Honda dealers in the Phoenix area while we were on RFTW.)
