My neighbors have a big dog that they regard and refer to as a watchdog, not a family member or even a pet. He loves me because I pet him and give him treats. While I was on vacation the neighbor from the other side was in my backyard watering my garden and picking my tomatoes. He said the dog went ballistic, so the owner came over to see what was going on because he knew I was on vacation.
