It was About Time…

Greetings to One and All…

I turned 60 years old this year and thought it was about time…

I enrolled in a MSF course thru the local Harley Davidson dealer and managed to PASS! I could hardly believe it. You see, I have never ridden a motorcycle in my life.

One of the things I discovered about myself is that I did not want to go thru a 6 month learning curve to teach myself to ride. Add to that, my beautiful bride absolutely refuses to get onto the back of a 2-wheeler. She also has significant input into the household finances, if you get my meaning…

A trike was the only answer. I started looking and I searched the internet until I was blind. I looked at the Tri-Glides. I looked at a number of used trikes. Wasn’t quite what I wanted. I looked hard at the Spyder’s from BRP.

Thought that was the way I wanted to go.

Well it just so happens that around the corner from the Harley dealership is a little place called “Haus of Trikes and Bikes”. In there, they had a black 2011 Kawasaki Vaquero by California Sidecar. I looked at it. I looked at it again. Then I looked at it some more. And I kept going back to look at it. She came in with me and looked at it. She liked it. She said she would ride with me. She said OK on the money.

I test drove it. It was easy. This is One Sweet Ride!

Now it’s mine…
Thanks for the warm welcome. I will try to get some pictures up this weekend.

Here is Southwest Florida it has been raining in the late afternoon into the early evening virtually everyday. Makes it tough to get out. I've managed though...
