It,s really a pain in the neck !

I just wanted an opinion about which helmet to buy that's light in weight. After riding long distances it feels like a bowling ball is sitting on my neck. It gives me much pain. I don't want to go to a skull cap because I want to use my intercoms. Any suggestions ?:xzqxz:

I just use a half-helmet with some J&M headsets made for the half-helmet. I get along fine with them. HTH

I've struggled with helmets for years. If they fit, there heavy. If there light they dont fit. I've allways had to comprimise one or the other.
Then a few years ago I found the Z1R Ace.

hello Road, I like Modular helmets and went thru a few, I got the Gmax 54S , it is ok and better then most I tried, it does have a little wind noise. I just turn up the radio, is lighter, better view each side, cost is low. we have had ours for 6 years. ( just keep trying helmets you will fine one that does what you want )

I used it back when I found my Akuma helmet, at that time it was the lightest full face helmet out there and it really helped with my neck pain. I have to ride for a long time before I even notice any pain, before it was a very short time.

If weight is a problem for you, it is for me, look for a carbon fiber helmet. Usually a bit more pricey but with 4 degenerative cervical discs it is the only helmet I can wear without pain.
