The Digital Clock/Air Pressure/Audio display is actually working but not illuminated.
I have watched YouTube video's but did not seem to answer my problem plus I was surprised how much fairing had to be removed just to get at it. According to previous owner supported by invoice it was replaced only 6 months ago and logic would suggest it should clearly show the displayed info. Any advice would be welcome. GL1500SE 1998.

Pain to replace bulbs
Remove screen and then screen lock levers
Remove ducts plus headlamp and lower vent knobs both pockets and fascia
Now you can remove dash
May be able to reach bulbs without disconnecting Speedo and wiring plugs
Great fun

With everything involved I'm beginning wonder if it's that important at all but grateful for the replies.
It may well get done at some point but it's been very cold here for quite some time and more to come.

How soon can you pop round....lol

Put it on my 'to do' list for now. I did try it in the dark and it is slightly better so I assume one of the bulbs has blown. Just like every job on GW's major for minor.

Years ago when I had my GL1500, I swapped out almost all of the dash bulbs to LED's. IIRC, there were a couple idiot bulbs that had to stay with incandescent bulbs because otherwise, they would glow all the time. One was the low fuel indicator and also the cruise indicator bulbs. Also the Bright Light indicator bulb when switched to LED almost becomes too bright at night.

When I do get to the display bulbs I will replace with similar, LED's are great for some applications but not everything
