Reading the manual that HD bundles with new trike and cannot find what type of media the system will read from a USB flash drive. Is it MAC media, windows audio, MP3 or what? This radio is sure lacking. Cannot hook up to my phone because my phone is not from the 2011 era, and on seek can only find 2 radio channels in Oklahoma City!!!

Any help. What do you use in place of no CO player?

I had the same problem and was getting pretty pissed. Then I went in and checked ALL types of music. When I went back to seek/scan every station was there. It seems stupid, but that worked for me.
I haven't tried it yet, but maybe working backwards and unchecking the type music(hip-hop or country as an example) you don't like one at a time until you get just the stations you want.
I'm still learning all there is about this abomination, but it looks like it's just going to take time. I doubt I'll learn/remember everything. It's like video games - the controls use to be pretty simple, then they started getting really complicated. I gave up on them years ago. :)

Hope this helps.

I thought the old radio was complicated. :D :D

So far I've used my IPOD, a SD card/with an adaptor and a flash drive hooked to the USB connector

I will look, did not see a place to check country or rock... etc,

So it sounds like you have to use an Apple based audio File Extension like AIFF or ALAC rather than 3gp, aac, act, amr, atrac (.wav), Au, awb, dct, dss, dvf, flac, gsm, iklax, IVS, m4a, m4p, mmf, mp3, mpc, msv, ogg, Opus, ra & rm, raw, TTA, vox, wav, wavpack or wma.

Was reading the manual and it said could do a playlist from the flash drive... just wondering... for such a new type radio there is not a lot of information on it...

Thank you

I'm really techno challenged so all those letters are Greek to me - - - except I did recognize mp3 and wma :)

I think it's under "Set Up" all the different genres are there and I went in and checked all of them. Then all my favorites were available. I started by checking just "rock", but I guess the music I wanted wasn't under the catagory of "Rock" that's why I tried activating all the types.
After I burned all my 45 records to CD's, I then copied those to a flash drive (thumb drive etc.) or tp an SD card. Those play fine throught the USB connector.

Well it was easy, took it back to the dealer at Fort Thunder in Moore OK and told the service manager my phone would not sync and the trouble I was having from that 6.5 system.

Russell goes, I bet they did not flash the radio or system. Well they did the flash and now all is working great.

Still miss the CB though for bike to bike communication. My trike does not have the wiring harness so that is going to be pretty steep for a CB.

Hey, maybe I can find a CB app for my phone!!!

Thanks everyone...
