The heat broke enough for me to finally get out in the garage and start my tinkering and upgrades. So far I have the new F4+4 windshield installed. What a difference! ThumbUp Now for the new pegs, carbon fiber dash panel, speakers, and some wiring for LED brake lights. The rest (air horn, risers, gear indicator and volt meter) will be done at the dealer in 2 weeks when she goes in for a full servicing. ;)

Did you ride it yet with the F4 ? It is amazing.

Not yet John. I still have other options to install. Seats are currently off so I'm cleaning underneath and I should also have by this Wednesday, the digital music unit that hooks up to the CD player harness. The trike must think that its Christmas come early, lol

You're having WAY too much fun!!!!!///////:10:

Go Rich, go !!.....LOL

I'm going Bill, I'm really going, lol.

Just got finished with some cleaning under the seat, wiring some LED brake light additions and replacing a few other things while tweaking others. Now I'm so damn sore I can barely move, lol. :AGGHH:;)

Okay so here's a few photos of work in progress

Here's a few shots of the initial work before she goes off to the dealer for an end-to-end servicing;

Here's the new Carbon fiber dash panel

I placed high reflective tape behind the Roadsmith chrome banner on the trunk lid. It really does a great job and looks pretty good as well, imho, lol

Like your dash and the idea for the reflective tape behind the name looks GREAT!!!!!

I saw some pinstriping by your windshield. Where did you get that done?

The pinstriping was already on the trike when I bought it. It's also on the top of the front fender, its on the top of the mirrors, the sides of the shelter, the side panels, the sides of the trunk and also on the very top point of the trunk lid. When I first saw it, I was also impressed by the detail and uniformity of all of the pinstriping. I asked the dealer (Kevin at KD Cycle) if he knew who the artist was. Unfortunately, he didn't know and had never asked the previous owner of the Wing before he (Kevin) installed the Roadsmith conversion.

Thanks Dan. Just got finished dressing up the wiring underneath the trike. (God am I sore now!) There wasn't any issues, but I'm a stickler for having wiring and harnesses tie wrapped and squared off if possible. Also installed the Glare Reducing Blue 5 LED Mirrors Muth mirrors and the Gold Wing Digital Music Player V3. Next Saturday, she goes to the dealer in Harrisonburg for a complete servicing. Of course, while they have all of the body panels off, I have more goodies for them to install. I feel like a drug addict, lol. :Crap::AGGHH::DThumbUp

How do you like those mirrors? I'm thinking about a set for my 12.

The mirrors are great! The amber LED's can readily be seen in the day light and the blue tint does cut down on the glare. I have the ones with the 5 LED's. There's also a 7 LED model but many of the reviews regarding the 7 aren't very positive. Past owners say the 5 LED model is brighter. I've very pleased with them! ThumbUp

I saw the reviews on the 7 LED, I'm thinking about putting a set on sometime along the line. I'll definitely go with the 5 LED vs the 7 because I'm looking for the visibility, plus the blue looks kind of cool and will match my bike:D.

Sounds like you guys are having fun. I laughed because you'll are spending money left and right. Thought that was why you went honda........ok, will zip it now.

I know, I know.....it's the fun stuff, not the necessary stuff, but just saying'

George (Ironhorse),

Unfortunately for me, customizing the hell out of the trike is my main weakness. I enjoy fiddling, upgrading and adding different options on her just as much as riding her. Sometimes,, even more than riding her. :Wrong: I know, I'm a real basket case, lol ;)

It's all about the quality time with the bike, got to build a relationship you know:D. Only problem I'm having it every time I walk in the garage I catch the Harley giving the Honda the stink eye:laugh:.

Re: It finally cooled down a bit, so,,,,,,

Mike,

As far as I'm concerned, you have the perfect setup. A Wing and a Harley! ThumbUp
