I went for a ride today. I needed gas and pulled into a station to fill up. The pump gave me the option of paying with a credit card or paying inside. I picked inside, lifted the handle and waited. The display said waiting for authorization. I waited and waited, then said to hell with it and hit cancel. There were several cars parked with shoppers inside. I figured the girl was busy handling them and it was taking her time to reset the pump. My next attempt was to use a credit card. Again I waited and waited. Canceled that and went inside. I said what do I need to do to get gas on that pump? The girl said "we have had bad experiences with motorcyclists, so we make them pre-pay". I told her that now a motorcyclist has had a bad experience with you. I left and rode directly across the street to another station and filled up no problem. In 50 years of riding this is only the second time I have ever had a problem getting a station to sell me gas. Has anyone else ever had a experience like this where they treated you differently from a car driver?
