I bought a used Harley Davidson 11000 mile 2010 daytona conversion, it steers like a drunk mule, Any ideas? I've been on 2 wheels for 35 years. I'd appreciate some advice.

Which Harley model do you have. I am also assuming you mean the CSC Daytona conversion.

Usually with the CSC conversions, one gets a rake kit - that is what I have, and it is like power steering

Hello & welcome to Trike Talk Tommy. :)
Increase the rake of the triple trees to 9 degrees and you won't have the sloppy steering.

Can you describe the condition a little better? Is it like a loose feel and wanders? Or is the steering a bit sluggish? If the the first, you may want to check the torque on the steering stem bolt.

"It steers like a drunk mule.."

By that I am assumimg you are saying it had head shake? Is that correct. If not, describle in mote detail what you ate experiancing. Without know more details, I would bet that the preload torque is not set to the proper torque. On the Harley CSCs it needs to be torqued to 40 ft lbs.

Is the shutter in the front end, and does it have a steering stabilizer on it. Pappa Zook would know better than me, but with just 4 degrees wouldn't it still need a stabilizer?

I will check that, It wanders a bit, but if you hit a chuck hole it gets horrible. Never experienced anything like it except on jacked up dodges back in the day, I'm 70 now, I just want comfort, lol thank you

Thank You, I'll do some more homework..
