How's recoil on 45 springfield XD-S

Now carry Rugar LCP 380. but have always loved the .45 auto and own Colt 1911 45 auto since 1972. Really want the Springfield 3.3 XD-S 45 but am concerned

about it's recoil. How bad is it with 230 gr. How about 180gr which should be less recoil. I'm not going to target shoot with it and can put up with heavy recoil when I need to.

You will have no issue with recoil. It's a nice piece. I sold mine beacuse I wasn't very accurate with it at the range. It isn't meant for target shooting. It is a good carry and protection weapon. You will like it.
