How much up and down play is normal for the steering stabilizer? 2015 HD freewheeler

I am going to have to get a service manual for this thing so I can stop asking these silly questions. In the meantime how much up and down play is normal for the steering stabilizer where it attaches at the bolt. I've got some free play in mine. Just wondering if another trip to the dealer is warranted for a fix or not. I hate having to spend half the day waiting for the bike to be fixed.

I have/had play in 2 TG's and 2 FW's. It's normal.

A little play is normal.. If it was so tight as to have no play you wound't be able to turn the bars... That said if theres any play at the two bolts [9-16's] that mount to the head thats not normal and they should be tighten...

Thanks every one. I appreciate it very much.

I am chasing the source of a knocking noise. Grasping at straws. Trying to figure out what is hitting what. Back to the shop I am figuring.
