How far will you go for pu

Dealers seem to be more rare the further west you go... My solution? MAKE THEM!! Start going to shops, and dealerships, ask about trikes.. If they say they don't carry them, ask why? Get friends to start doing the same.

More than likely, they don't get the interest in them to justify the expense of adding trikes to their offering. If people start showing interest, and demand grows and the dealers actually see that, dealerships WILL start to pop up.

We found one of our Gold Wing trikes on E-bay and the other on Craigslist, both from individuals and both within 180 miles of us.
We took a chance - twice - I guess we lucked out - are VERY happy with both.
There are quite a few trike dealers in Texas, but most are more toward the center and east part of the state. Oklahoma has a dealer in Shawnee that lists really big-time on E-bay. Barnett Harley in El Paso always has some Gold Wing trikes on E-bay.
There are usually a couple of trike dealers at the Ruidoso, New Mexico rally this coming September. One of them is called Pickups and More, out of Portales, NM.
Just try a google: trike dealers, New Mexico ...or whatever state name you might like to look in.
Come to think of it I believe TrikeTalk has a forum for exactly that purpose - you might give it a look-see. Check the main FORUM and see if its still listed - AND... you can click on any of the advertisements to the right of this thread you are reading. You can get into their websites and see where their dealers are located.
Good luck!

I'm not scared to travel anywhere to get what I want. I live in southeast Michigan and have traveled to the four corners of our country to get different vehicles and parts for my car and bike hobby. To me, it's half the fun! Friends say well figure in the gas as part of the price and it may not be such a great deal. To me it's just shipping. I bought a 93 Goldwing on EBay and had it shipped, it was an ok bike but the pics were deceiving. I probably would have walked on the deal if I would have seen it in person. Been to Lebanon Ct. To buy a roll back bed for my dodge L-600. Cost me $250.00 It was a new 1989 bed that had never been used! All the hydraulics were new, the wench was new! I pulled up with a big smile and the guy asked: why did you come all the way out here for this? I said: there are none in Detroit for $250.00!!!
I say go for it, travel to get what you want!!!!
I'm getting ready to go to Alabama to get my first trike next week!

I agree,no pig in a polk. keep on trucking.

I had a Yamaha Royal Star Venture that I bought from MA and my trike that I bought from GA. I live in UT and hadn't seen either machine, except pics, until I got them in my driveway.
A friend of mine bought his WingSmith from a place in NM called Pickups and More. Pickups and More He is sure happy with his purchase.
Good luck and happy hunting.

I'm located in Virginia. Bought my trike in Alabama and a few months ago, I bought a car (a 97 Honda DelSol) and had it transported from Utah. Great little car! ThumbUp

In 2009 I trailered a new Honda Shadow Aero 750 from the Motor Trike factory in Texas. In 2011 I drove to Greenville, MO to get a 1982 GL-1100 trike. And, last November I drove a 1996 Aspencade trike home from Somerset, KY

rchasing a Wing trike? We are thinking of switching brands but ther are no trike dealers in our area. :Trike1:
My parents ran across a place in Humbolt, AZ called The Trike Shop. I think website was Home - The Trike Shop Northern Arizona
I've never been there description sounded interesting. Website lists all trikes for sale. Its located up near Prescott.
Put AZ trike dealers in seach engine and you may find closer.

Id switch if it was needed for whatever reason.
If you had read here my trials and tribulations when I 1st bought my used Motor Trike kit.
You would understand.
Same boat no local dealership.

Eventually I got a local shop to do the needed work.

A Friend of mine here bought a Trike in Wyoming, and the Seller took a "Vacation Trip" and delivered it to Him....sometimes there are "Other Options" to be looked at if You locate one somewhere.....ThumbUp

I had a Lehman dealer in Wichita, about 25 miles away. They were not interested in doing ANYTHING on price for a Gold Wing conversion, and I got disgusted with them. I drove a few hundred miles to Omaha for a good price and I enjoyed the trip.

Found the best deal in NC. Flew over and rode it home 1400 miles, half of it in the rain. That is a good way to get used to riding a trike!

Piggi we have a great trike dealer in Salt Lake City, UT called Crossroads Trikes.
www.crossroadstrikes.com/‎
652 Fine Dr Salt Lake City, UT 84119
(801) 266-9633
They do a great job and deal in several different conversions. If you buy from them I'll be happy to drive it down to you.

I found my trike on the classifieds, right here on TT. I also found 2 others that I was considering, also on this and another forum, but in the end, my wife and I liked this one the best, and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We drove 7 - 8 hours, and he did the same, to "meet in the middle". We both pulled an enclosed trailer. Some of the best deals, and nicest people, can be found right here.

I live in Omaha Nebraska. Nebraska has what they call a title inspection.
When one buys a vehicle outside the state of Nebraska before they can get a Nebraska title and register it one has to take the vehicle and the title to one of the state title inspection offices. They run a computer check on the VIN number and verify that the VIN number on the title matches the VIN number on the vehicle and also that the vehicle description on the title matches the vehicle.
If it all don't match one can't get a Nebraska title and register the vehicle.
If there is an issue it can become a real hassel because one would need to go back to the person they bought the vehicle from and the state the title was issued in to straighten the issue out.
New vehicles bought in another state do not have to have the title inspection as the state accepts the manufactures orginal certificate of orgin but any used vehicle does regardless of weather it is bought from a dealer or private seller.
I know of some people that have had some issues trying to get it all worked out.
I just don't buy a vehicle out of state.

They build excellent trikes at American Trikes and Motorsports in Keene, N.H. I had my wing converted there with a Roadsmith and they did an excellent job. They always have 6 or 7 in stock. I'm not the owner, just a customer. Honest!

I did a 1,300 mile round trip to drop my 2012 Wing off at the Hannigan factory and then the same 1,300 mile round trip to pick it up. I spent $956 in fuel and hotel cost for the whole 2,600 mile total.
