Hoping to be a 'newbie' soon in south Florida

I just joined TrikeTalk in anticipation of getting my first trike, I hope it is ok to join even though I don't have a trike yet.

My current ride is a 2005 GL1800, but I plan to get a Tri Glide Ultra in the next month (if not sooner).

I'm looking forward to any tips I can get from the forum.

Howdy Rick and welcome to Trike Talk. I joined way before I got my trike and they didn't kick me off so I think you're good to go. Ain't nothing wrong with gathering info before buying and this is a great place to do that.

Welcome to Trike-Talk ' Rick..:wave4:...Its alright that you don't have a Trike yet..

You just don't get the 50 dollar sign -up bonus....:laugh::Joker3:

Hi Rick and welcome to the forums from the Tampa Bay area, I also joined before making our purchase.

Greetings Rick! Welcome to Trike Talk from Southeastern Tennessee!!! I've got a 2014 TriGlide and love it! Good luck with finding the right ride for you!!!

Just wondering...have you ever given thought to converting your Gold Wing? Not knocking you away from a Triglide (I own one), but the right kit can have independent rear suspension which is a SOOOO much better ride. And it would be quite a bit less expensive getting it converted. Of course I don't know what you circumstances are either, so I'll just say...

:welcome: to TT Rick!

Of course we don't mind that you do not have a trike yet. Part of the reason Trike Talk exists is for people to learn about trikes.

Yes I had considered converting my 2005 Gold wing, but I like the idea of a purpose built trike with the associated warranty. Additionally my wife has been telling me I should by a new motorcycle for a number of years (I finally decided to take her suggestion! :D)
