honda shadow aero 750 motor trike install or manual

in doing research here ive also dicovered it has the older style drive shaft should i buy the newer type before i have it installed?

I'm not smart at all on the kit you would have but I'm not too sure the new version driveshaft for GL1500/1800s is for yours or not. Call: 1-800-908-7453 (Motor Trike Factory, Troupe, TX) and ask to speak with Richard Purdy. It probably won't do you a bit of good but tell him Jerry from San Angelo suggested you call. He will know about the drive shaft. You might also explain your situation with you and that kit you have. Since there would not be any warranty issue he just might be able to help. I don't know their police but the worst he could say is NO..

Good luck with the project. OH, and keep us updated.. PICTURES !!

Nicely done ThumbUp

On the Bike side, have you done any Mods to the Air-Fuel-Exhaust Systems?
Can give those a little more Oomph by Jetting (stage 2 or 3), Hyper Charger and K&N, and going with V&H Long Shots with BCT Baffles.
Of course it will lower your MPG by another 4-5 as well but for a Trike on a Bike with @ 38-39 stock HP, another 5-6 Horse makes a difference on the plus side.

they actually had to chop the stock pipes and custom make me a new set havent done anything to the engine yet but i probably will after the holidays if i have the money shes my only transport so i dont want to give her up just yet and im not mechanically skilled enough to do it on my own yet took her on a 200 mile ride sunday doing 70/80mph she held up pretty well i kept up with my buddys vtx 1800 the whole way i need to calibrate the speedo though

70-80.... She musta been wound up & out. How many RPMs ya turning at those speeds?
Jet Kits are around $50 and the Hyper Charger or similar Air Intake Mod around $125-150.
Labor to Jet usually around 1.5-2 hrs and maybe 1.25 for the Air Intake install.
But having owned a 2 wheel 2008 Shadow Spirit (about 43-44 stock HP) , the added HP would make a great and noticeable difference as a Trike. Gotta figure the 04's at around 38 HP with a bump of 5 would be a 13% increase. Pushing what, about 760 lbs wet with the Trike?? That's a 5% Power to Weight Ratio. Then again, the Mods would only take that to around 5.7%. May not be worth it on a Trike.

My bad. sorry for the Aside.
Do dig that Paint for sure!
Enjoy and all the best to you and your "Monster" ThumbUp

That's really sharp my wife just traded up from a 750 trike to a 1300 trike .She could run 70 MPH all day long, only reason she up graded was she had to stop every 80 mile to fuel up while every body else would run so much farther.

Honda 750 motor trike install manual

Hi, I'm new to forum but if ya check, there is no install manual for 750 honda shadow. the mechanic at the dealership used the 1300 install manual. motor trike used to weld the 750 together. I had this issue myself. The maintenance manual is the same for all (I think). motor trike has just started letting dealers assemble the 750. or so I'm told. I had a real problem with this. I hope I'm not off base with this reply.
