I have been researching headsets and after looking at Scala and Sena, I found the Goldwing headset that plugs into the bike. It uses the cb, am/fm and intercom functions. It is also half the price of the above and they don't have the am radio function. I just want to be able to talk to the passenger, listen to either am or fm. I don't care about the Bluetooth function or GPS and from what I read, the fm radios are not very good especially on the Scala. Does anyone have experience with the Honda type headsets?

We have the Honda headsets. They don't sound too bad, but we have nothing to compare them to. The problem we have had with them is that the pins in the headset have broken off. Two have done that so far. They are a couple of years old but the pins shouldn't break off imo.

Re: Honda headsets

J & M have been supplying motorcycle audio head sets for years and do a respectable job of it. They offer two style connectors systems the "P" and "Z" series units. The "P" series is pretty new (just the last couple years) and has much stronger connections. I've had two of their "Z" series head sets for years and have only had to replace one upper and one lower cable section. I think if the "P" series had been available back then I'd have gone that route and still be using the original cables.
