Honda Extended Warranty for 2012 Gl1800 - Other Options??

As you Gl1800 owners know, they come with three years warranty and one can purchase an additional four years from Honda for 980.00 down to as low as 500.00 from some dealers at anytime before the initial warranty expires.

While speaking with different dealerships, they raised the alarm about the potential for restricted coverage due to triking the bike, adding that any failure attributable to the conversion would not be covered.

A number of dealers recommended Western Extended Warranty, also
operating as McGraw Power Sports. The price for the four extended years at one of the dealerships is 850.00 but would cover the entire
trike and work can be done at any motorcycle dealership in the USA & Canada.

Does anyone have any experience with this extended warranty?

No experience w/that company but, be aware the statement of any place could work on it is very misleading!
There are actually very few dealerships that are set up to work on trikes! The lack of lifts the size needed for trikes is the main reason!

I'd STRONGLY recommend you do a general web search about that specific company (or any aftermarket warranty company). This one, has a bad reputation, which isn't surprising in the least. Most aftermarket warranties will ONLY approve "aftermarket" parts cost, not OEM parts, and will ONLY approve the specific part failed (example, if a seal fails causing a water pump to go bad, they will only authorize the seal to be replaced, not the pump, etc). Additionally, they will typically specifiy the amount they will pay, and any additional cost is the responsibility of the owner).
