I did a search for my answer, but didn't find. If missed and this is a duplicate question, sorry.

The "high beam" headlight only works if I pull the turn signal lever back toward driver. It will not work if I push it forward, to stay on. What do you think the problem is? I notice what looks like a relay on the wiring by the high beam light at the “snoot”. What is that for?

Thanks

I believe the relay is for the 2 different voltages that go to the low beam. When you turn the bike on but not the light switch the low beam has a little less voltage going to it to make it last longer being that it is on all the time. I believe I measured around 10 volts there. When the switch is turned on a full 12+ volts are delivered. The relay changes the power feed. I maybe wrong but that is what I feel I found out about that relay.

I tried LED's in mine, but couldn't find any that worked well with a projector housing. I then went with HID's and they work well. Then I changed everything and went with a 7" round LED and WOW, I can really see down the road now.
