First trike and first Harley. Rode a Roadstar previously. 65 yrs old,bad knees & short legs,Roadstar was getting too heavy.Went down with the wife on back after hitting oil on a curve. That convinced the wife and sealed the deal on a freewheeler!

Welcome to both the Harley and freewheeler community! I think you'll love both. I went to a freewheeler about 4 months ago and am liking it more everyday. Being new to harley you will find a whole new world of options for your bike. Go slow, make it your own and don't forget about some comfort for your wife. There are some aftermarket items that Harley just can't beat so look before buy. I would consider fork wind deflectors, mid frame heat deflectors, and a semi wrap around back rest for the passenger (fork deflectors and back rest are aftermarket). Sounds like you might like the harley reach seat and don't hesitate adjusting your handle bars or even getting new ones... world of difference. Of course you'll need some new pipes to fully enjoy the Harley experience :Dorag:

Ride safe bro....

Hi Gary, and welcome to trike talk from Minnesota. Going down is scary as hell. Been down twice myself. The last was an off ramp followed by a tandem dump truck. Enjoy your new ride. :wave4:
