I'm Bob from Carlsbad, Ca. I've got a question. I have a slight disability, my left side is partially paralyzed. I can grip a handle bar but i cant use the clutch any more. the same with my left foot, I cannot shift up so my question is can you get a trike with an automatic transmission or at least compressed air or electric shifters? I'm sure they have all kinds of aftermarket stuff out there but I just do not know where to look. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can get riding again?

Thanks so much

Boss Hoss makes a trike with a Chevy V8 and automatic tranny. I have seen air operated shifters but have not seen any answers to the clutch problem. Maybe someone will come up with a answer.

Welcome to the forum also Bob.

My friend and Dealer is disabled and has little or no use of his legs. He has dual/tandem brake levers mounted on the right side of the handlebars and an electric solenoid attached to the shift arm that is actuated by up/down push button. The solenoid would solve your shift problem but I don't know how to solve the clutch problem.

RDEHAY, Ridley makes a 750 twin with fully automatic tranny. Maybe this would be worth your consideration. Its sure is a nice looking ride.Ridley: Automatic Transmission Motorcycles: 0eight : Auto-Glide Trike

The Burgman is fully automatic and is all hand controls on the bars. No clutch or gears to worry about and can keep up with the best of them. I have rode with Burgmans on my goldwing an they hang right in there at any speed.

Welcome aboard. The Burgman Trinty conversion is a must look at for you. They post on this forum. Also any trike can be modified to work just time and money. Burgman 650 is the easiest answer. Call Bob at Trinity.

WELCOME to TRIKE TALK....Burgman and Silver Wing Trikes (My Wife was lookin' at these until I put 6 degree Trees on Her Aero Trike) are totally hand-operated, and really light steering...might be something to look at since You also mentioned limited left arm use also....Hope Your Quest is Fruitful.....ThumbUp
