Help locating oil leak ona 2011 Tri Glide

Ok so it's not a big leak or any thing, oil level seems to be fine. More of a weep, under the oil filter housing. Also it's not the stator plug that side is nice and clean.

We were on a road trip and I let the dealer in St. Louis (Gateway) change just the engine oil, it was due. The guy cleaned up his mess good, but not sure he got the filter base clean or the oil filter gasket lubed either. We got home and it was wet looking, cleaned it up again. Been a couple months now, but the wife got it home after another trip to Florida and I cleaned up the area real good trying to locate the drip or leak and after a couple thousand miles it's wet looking again.

I usually do the oil changes but thought since we were on the road I would surprise her, man the bill surprised me.

Am I over thinking it or just over looking it?

I have a valve cover gasket [front] thats been weeping a little for the last year or so.. I'm not into cosmetics so as long as the oil level isn't affected i live with it.. :Shrug:

Could be the oil cooler adapter, I had to replace one on my dad's 09 Triglide. I first tried to just replace the gasket and it still leaked, I replaced the adapter next and it hasn't leaked in years. My guess is the original one warped.

:Agree: or loose hardware at the oil filter/cooler area or hose clamp area

I had a slight seepage on my Free Wheeler. I bought the rocker cover and rocker box gaskets yesterday. Took the rocker cover off last night and before I took the rocker box off I figured I'd check the torque. There's 6 bolts that hold the box. They were all good except the front middle one. It wasn't even finger tight. I took 3 turns on it until it seated. I just torqued it and put the cover back. Rode 250 miles. No more leak.I guess my engine was made on a Monday!

What M3 said is a real good possibility.

There are 6 surfaces (besides the TPS which you said is good) in that area that can leak.

Between the oil cooler adapter and the engine

Between the oil cooler adapter and the oil filter

The TWO oil cooler hoses

The cam cover

The base gasket between the block and the front cylinder.

Almost assuredly it is one of those location, just a matter of tracking it down.

Hose clamps were loose on mine and once tightened, all leaking stopped.
