Can anyone identify this front end?
Top tubes are 37 mm in dia, bottoms are 49 mm. Forks are 31.5 inches from the top of the tube to the center of the axle. The neck is 7 inches long. The axle is 7/8 inches in dia. As you can see, the clamps for the bars have been replaced by a home made plate to which the risers are attached. This was done by the previous owner/builder. You'll also note that the headlight is mounted to a non-stock bracket, this being my doin's. Everything else appears to be stock, with the exception of the speedo, which is labeled Harley-Davidson.
I could try the VIN from the neck, but unfortunately, the "builder" ground it off and/or welded over it.
Any help in identifying this would be greatly appreciated. I've shown it to a half dozen different mechanics, and have gotten a half dozen different answers, none of which were conclusive.
