Hi,<br />
Name is Steve, live south of Tampa Florida. I found this site through google. I've made the decision to start riding again. I "grounded" myself for years after a harrowing experience on 2 wheels, and a chronic inner ear problem since childhood. When I was young, I was too full of energy to let balance problems interfere with riding. But at 53, I like to think I've learned a little here and there. Hence, the trike.<br />

There is a trike in my future, hopefully tomorrow morning (Monday.) Been looking for trikes for a couple of weeks, not many used ones around here, except for top of the line Wings, which I don't want to pay for. But I took a nice long test ride, (complete with running out of gas) on a 1300cc trike on Saturday. The dealer was just about closed when I got back, so he couldn't have sold it out from under me today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to report some good news.

In the meantime, I'm reading and learning. And will be posting a question in a few minutes.

Thanks for the welcome. Well, I pulled the trigger. I am now the proud owner of a 2006 VTX 1300 triked by Motor trikes. 7,982 miles. I'm happy with the deal. She's a little plain, but that's okay, gives me a blank canvas to work with.<br />

The only problem is I can't have it until tomorrow. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve.

Been there done that as many have on here . I took a test ride the last day of the Americade . I had 24 hr to decide or my dream bike would be on it's way back to DFT factory 2,00o miles away . I didn't sleep a wink that night , I got mine 10 years ago and still pleased with my decision and you will be too. Get out your brownie ( oooh just thought of one for the " I Remember That " thread ) and take a few snap shot and post them on here . I would love to see it.

</div>You bet. I have some photos, but the bike is a little dirty in them. Dealer says he's cleaning the bike up. Hope to take some photos this weekend.

Welcome from SE Tennessee! I've had my HD 2010 Street Glide Trike for 8 days now. Have almost 500 miles on it. Trying to get housework done so I can ride Friday night to Sundown.. Getting ready for the Tennessee State HOG Rally next week. If anyone is a National HOG member, come on down/up!!!

Dealer found something wrong while he was going over it today. Can't have it until at least Weds. Dang, I was planing a bit of a ride tonight. Oh well, I guess I should be grateful they gave it a good going over. I have no doubt some would have sent me home on it when I signed the check, without looking at anything.<br />

He sold this on consignment. And of course he's not charging me anything. I wonder if he has to eat this, or if he charges the consignor?
