hello to all

:)Hello everyone! I am new here and would like to say I am in the process of thinking/ pricing/reviewing and just pondering the project of converting my latest bike(2003 vrsca) to a trike with an extended front end and a lowered rear. I am looking for somthing to buy (or build) in oder to achieve this. I have some funds allocated for this and I am only (13) months from retirement. This would give me yet another project to occupy my soon to be free time. If anyone has attempted this in any fashion, I would be grateful for any input either pro or con in doing this. Thanks....

Welcome Vrod and greetings from Long Island. Good luck with the trike project and enjoy retirement soon.

For pictures of the conversion Google--pcombe library/photobucket

P.s. don't start with a lowered bike if you choose the Champion conversion kit it might cause you problems, Always check onto the raked triple tree for handling.
Check out the dealers on the forum.
there are member discounts. It is sales that help to support the forum so there are incentives.

Hi pcombe...and thanks for the welcome. That is a fine machine you are displaying. I have looked into the physics of the steering/handling involved when triking a bike. I just need now to decide on a particular rake/lower for the look I am after. I like the long , lean look of a chopper bike. I used to own a couple of vw trikes a while back with the extended front ends (actually one of them had a springer ) front end and I liked the looks/handling of it. I am thinking of taking the vrod to that level. Of course, I don't want to jepordize the traveling capabilities of it while doing it. If I can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to ask...

Check with forum (owner) admistrator Bazooka he is the rake Guru around here and see what he recommends?
I bought my raked triple tree from him at a really nice price.
With the natural rake of my bike I added 5 degrees and a 2" tube extension to bring back to level.

Go to the top of the forum under community and type in his name under members and it should get you to him.

Thanks for the welcome from Central Virginia! Without a doubt one of the prettiest places I have ever been! I also am longing to retire. These last months have gone by quickly and it is hard for me to believe I have worked in the same job for almost (38) years! Good luck with your retirement just (11) months away!

Hello VRod and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. That is one Harley that I haven't ridden yet, but I wish you luck in finding the right trike kit to fit your needs.
