Hi there, I live in Adelaide, Australia.

I'm not currently riding or have a bike but I have been thinking of trikes for quite some time.
I especially like the VW/Sub trikes. My biggest hurdle to getting a bike/trike, other than my wife, is my needing an automatic.

I hope to learn alot more about trikes.

Hello Teskima, welcome to triketalk.com where you will find the friendliest and most knowledgeable folks on the internet. There are solutions to your least important problem of automating your trike's transmission to some extent, but I'm not sure if we can help out wth the wife situation :) I took my wife for a ride on a trike and that did it, she wanted one. Good luck and enjoy the forum.

Hello Teskimo and welcome to Trike Talk.
I have a solution to the wife problem for you.Send her up here to stay for a week,Free (you pay the shipping),my wife can convert her in a heartbeat.
When she gets back home, that's all you are going to hear about.hehe
It's scary just how much my wife loves our trike.
Hope this helps and good luck.
ps..what does she like to eat?

welcome Tescimo, glad you came on board, lots of great folks & good information on this site. You might want to check out my subie trike (the Reaper), pics are in the homemade trikes, non vw & also in my profile. Cheers, Cave

Thanks for the entro everyone...

My wife is thinking about being safe on the highway. She has been on bikes when she was younger. She would end up driving and my being behind. I'm not sure I can afford two....lol
Yes I like the subies, my mind thought about how I would set it up, etc. I even saw that the Subie trans can be used.
I know the road design rules down here are stricter than in the States but is doable. First I would have to go through the learners licencing before I can drive a bigger bike/trike. I woild probably start with the Honda ct 90/110 for the clutchless shifting.
