After my recent 1600 mile trip I wish somebody would come up with a cool suit like gerbing has with their heated suits,it was Hot, and the heat got to me.
I have now realized I can no longer take long trips when it is that hot out,it took me three days after I got home to recover.
I did have a good time but the high heat and humidity really took it out of me.
I did take my trailer with me and it has a cooler package on it and I kept pleanty of cold water in it for all of us to drink.Also I have a bulter big cup which I kept full of cold water in it.

We use vests that you soak in water for about 2 minutes, ring out or blot off and ride. The vests cool by evaporation, last about 2 hours or so and really do make a difference. Ours are by TechNiche. Website:

When the temp approaches 90 and the dew point is above 70, mine stays parked! I am 65, wife is 64. We have been riding since 1967! We've been there, done that, and have all the t-shirts. No need to prove anything anymore! We are now fair weather riders and proud of it.
