Hi all, I have a 1800 trike and one headlight is dimmer that the other one. I changed the bulbs with each other and the same one is dimmer. Any fixes?

Most of the new wings seem to have one aimed different than the other. My 2010 was the same way and once I adjusted the dimmer one they both look the same from the bike in front. The manual tells you how to do this.

Are both the lo beam and the high beam dim? The low beam lights are both powered through the Lo relay under the seat. Lo relay is relay 1. The high beams are powered different, The right high beam is powered through the Hi relay (under the seat) it is relay 7. 1 and 7 are on the same row, they are on opposite ends of the row, should be the first or top row by the mounting screws. I would try swapping those relays and see what affect that has. The left high beam also powers the coil for the Hi Relay so there could be a problem with that coil and shunting diode. If you have a VOM try reading the resistance through the relay coil, it is probably the same as the relay for the Lo Relay. The wiring also involves the reverse switch and dimmer switch so the problem could be there. I would check the relays first.

I made a mistake on the above post. The Hi Headlight relay is relay 16. Relay 7 is the Headlight Adi relay. That fine print is difficult for old eyes. If you need some more info about wiring diagrams PM me your email address and I can email you some wiring diagrams from a 2002 service manual I have. There have been some changes since 2002 but not many, it fits most of the time.
