How many of you have experienced TDF (trike delay factor)? When we head out of town for a trip it seems every time we stop someone will come up to us and ask about the trike. Things like, "How do we like it?", "What is it?" and several ladies saying they wish their husband would get one. It can be a store, gas station, motel, eatery or rest stop. Yes, it causes a little delay in our trip but it is fun and we have talked with many people along the way.

Well own one for over 40 years and that stuff gets a little old. Amazingly I've been asked why I would own something like that if I don't want to talk about it. Sometimes I wish I had a chevy button, as you're walkin away hit the remote and now its a chevy. People will amaze and insult you with some or their comments. Its a shame you can't ride 2 wheels you're really missing the fun of a motorcycle. Or how about you ruined a nice bike by putting on a sidecar. The list is long.

I've said this many times before but it bares repeating!'And not only at Walmart! Don't make eye šŸ‘€šŸ‘Contact šŸ‘€šŸ‘Œ

I was that guy before purchasing my trike, I would ask everyone I saw on 3, now I'm on the receiving end. I extend the same courtesy extended to me and most walk away with pleasant smiles and gratitude.

Of course people are always asking about the TG, most really want to know and look. Some are asshats, but I just ignore them and move on, haters gonna hate!

I like talking about my ride, don't mind spending a few moments answering a couple of questions. Yep, it's fun....

got a lot more from the ladies when we trikes the wife's Honda Silverwing scooter...ladies loved that one, 600cc automatic, step through....it was cool.

Bob, TDF seems to be the norm. Something you just get used to or as Rhino states, "Avoid eye contact at all costs!" It always amazes me how many non-riders as well as riders express interest. Get a lot of thumbs up riding up the highway too. At least you know they see you! :good:

TDF

yes Bob TDF, one I remember that I thought was funny. I was putting gas in my GW and looked up and a lady in her 70s was standing next to the trike, I said hello & she said I just had to come look at this motorcycle. she looked a the passenger seat and said your wife must be small to fit. I had put the gas hose up and told her no there is more room then you think, get on and try it, she got on & while seating on it she said I wish my husband could see me on this. I ask were is you husband at, she said at the other end gassing up the car. I got on and drove over to her car. her husband was looking at the gas pump and did not see us. I got on the horn and when he looked around and saw us he ask "were are you'll going." I talk to the couple for a few min.

my only re grate is I did not take her for a longer ride. nice folks

Funny, never had that happen.

Yep, same here. I enjoy talking it up, showing them all the goodies and saying I wouldn't take less than $50,000.00 for it. They Smile and walk away.

Try riding a Stallion they chase my wife down. She has even had a State Trooper in New Mexico follow her for 5 miles till she pulled over to talk to her about it. At gas stations they walk right by me and my TRI to talk to her. Occasionally a HD person will talk to me. I had a buddy who rode with us and he had to learn all about the Stallion just to also answer questions. Most of the time not a issue unless we need to get going.

I wear all of my leathers with club patches etc. from another life and scowl a lot and most people stay away. Works for me. Of course, if a nice looking lady wants to talk about the trike then I am all smiles (as long as the wife isn't with me) LOL. Just kidding (maybe).

TDF

Bought the lead-sled new in 2009, and have experienced TDF at nearly every stop while traveling round and about. Met lots of new and friendly people.:bye:

I have folks walk up to me at the fuel islands, grocery store, all over the place it seems. More than happy to talk about the trike.
