I had this put in at my last service, and after 500 or so miles on it, I am impressed. The Tri-Glide is my tenth Harley since my first in 1986. In all of my later than 2001 big twins, I used Redline shockproof heavy, and it was pretty good stuff, made the shifting a good bit easier and quieted a little bit of the clunking.

This stuff makes the Redline look bad. This is by far, the quietest and smoothest shifting big twin transmission I have ever ridden. I can even find neutral with very little effort.

Give it a try, you might like it....I have no idea who makes it for them.

YMMV

Have been using forumual + for many years with ok results, my 2016 tri I used bel ray trannie fluid and was happy with that. I looked at the price of the new harley gear oil, WOW, they must think it has gold in it for that price, $19.95 a quart, I can see a little price increase from the forumula + but not almost 3 times as much, I can't remember what the price was on the bel ray, got it at the dealer, they carry different brands or at least the last time I was there. For me to use that it would have to really make a difference in shifting and be very very very quiet.

All for now Trampas

I use formula+ in the primary, and the hd 80-140 in the trans. No issues with either. Actually the trans works better than Some other oils I have used over the years.
