Has anyone taken advantage of the Harley long block program and if so could you please offer any comments both pro and con. I'm looking at the twin cooled 103 for my 2015 Triglide in a year or two, maybe sooner. I'm doing my research now and dont want any surprises later. I'm "married" to this Triglide having independent suspension installed September 2024 and am simply loving it.

I had my 107 replaced with a 107 long block after my top end went out twice due to an incompetent dealer.
I will not go into the details but suffice it to say, never assume that the people in the back know what they are doing.
I took it to another dealer and had them put a long block in and now have near 15K on it.
I did have them install a torque cam and a better oil pump while they were at it.

Didn't know that this was still around. Is it still the same where you take them the bike, they remove the engine and send it back to HD. Then they reinstall it? So for your bike the price is $4195, this does not include a new cam along with the dealers labor to reassemble the rocker bokes and reinstall the engine. Have you had any dealer give you a total price yet.

I did a new short block on my 2020 114 M8, I bought new Screamin Eagle 117 cylinders, pistons, heads, I used my oil pump & Redshift 468 cam Did the labor myself got a good deal on parts from Ronnies HD it was still around $7500. in my 2003 Road Glide Champion trike I did a S&S 124 twin cam great motor that was around $7500. In my 98 road glide Champion trike I did a S&S 124 Super Side Winder evo style motor Carburetor that out of the box bolted in never changed a jet in it was 138 FT of torque that was around $7500. I think you will be in the $7000.- $8000. range if you don't do the labor yourself.

The dealer did my 84 FXST in 03. Original engine went away and a mid 90's engine went in. I was not happy, ask questions.
