Riding in the El Paso heat has me feeling like a Sam's Club rotisserie chicken by the time I get somewhere lately. I noticed that there's a Harley Hammock Heated and Cooled Seat (Part #52000462). I was wondering if anyone had any first or second hand knowledge on how well they really cool? $1099 is a chunk of money to spend on something that just works "ok" and I'd rather not be the lab monkey on this one. The reviews were ok but that didn't sell me.

I've no idea about the seat, but I use a sheepskin in Arizona and don't get swamp ass......

YMMV

Well it's on backorder but I slapped the debit card down anyway. Should be in mid-July and it'll still be plenty hot then. I'll let you know how things work then.

It has fans under the seat.

Just makes me wonder if the fans are under the seat, is it going draw hot air from the engine up towards your butt. Well you definitely need to let us know if it really cools or just a fantasy. $1000+ is a lot cash!

We had one in Arizona and it was worthless. There was no perceptible cooling effect and the heat was less than what our Sunray heated seats are on low setting. Sent it back where we got it from and luckily got most of our money back. One of Harleys less than desirable asseccories for sure, at least that was my wife and myself experience with it. The fans are under the seat but really don't do much. One other thing is the hammock seat is not the same as the one on my 06 cvo that I had. It is definitely not as comfortable as the hammock seat I had on previous bikes. Maybe that's what the new hammock seat are like now?

I had a Hammock seat on 2 different Road-Glides, rode about 75,xxx miles on one. Damn comfortable seat but I didn't have the heat or cooling options, just the seat. On my new Tri-Glide I needed a bit more room so I purchased the tall boy seat and I'm good with it. I think I'm going to get a sheep skin cover for it. It probably isn't as comfortable as the Hammock, but it does give me more room and it's not uncomfortable. If it's really cold out and you can feel heat thru the seat, then you don't have enough clothes on LOL !!!!!!!
