Happy With Heated Grips

Has anyone had a issue with Heated Grips on their Tri-Glide. I was told by a Conversion Builder that Heated Grips tend to fail on the Trike because of extreme force on the handle bars. I had heated grips on my CVO Ultra and loved them. I miss having them and would like to put them on my TRiglide if they would hold up. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have Harley heated grips on the trike and used them all winter with no problem. I bought the cheap ones because they are black (not into lots of chrome) and the crampbuster fits better. Have had them on the softail over two years, no problems. I started using heated gear this year and with the jacket liner and gloves I'm not sure I would go with the heated grips. The Harley heated gloves have a heated spot on the palm as well as the back of the hand and with those on I don't use the heated grips. Hope this helps more than confuses.
PS The heated grips are always with you.

So far a year and a half(2 winters)and still going strong. No issues. I also just bought all new heated gear. H-D jacket liner and gloves and Firstgear pant liners. My old Gerbing gloves did not have heated palms. I still would have bought the grips since I won't always be wearing the gloves.
Don't know why extreme force on the handlebar would have anything to do with the wiring inside them.

I wouldn't worry about it.
