Happy Camper

Well, I can say I am a happy camper, took the new trike on a 2235 mile trip and had absolutely no issues. Only had one problem and it was totally my fault, placed the heel of my boot against the heat shield of the front cylinder and left a mess on it. Will get it cleaned up after we get back from a weekend trip. I know on the HD forum there was a guy that sold a kit to move the driver boards out, does anyone have the contact info. I accidently deleted my link to the boards..

1" floor board extenders plus I use the H-D boot shield. Goof-Off will take the rubber off the pipe.

Thanks guys. I tried some charcoal lighter this morning and it did take some off. It will take a while but I will get it off. Really burnt the boot pretty good, too. Will order a set of the 1 inch extenders from someone. I can't find a link for DK but also found some on ebay, etc.

I also noticed that when I was running at 70 mph cars and trucks were passing me like crazy, but if I sped up to 80 I stayed with the traffic flow. Went thru a work zone that had one of the speed monitors and it said I was doing 61 but my speedometer said 70. So am going on a 175 mile ride today and will put the gps on and see what it shows. Does anyone know if a HD speedometer can be calibrated. I know the one on my 05 was off by just a few miles, but darn 10-12 mph is crazy..

I used 0000 steel wool....rub lightly, no rubber and no marks

I have the DK Customs footboard extension. Hard to believe the difference an inch makes. Almost wish it was 2, but I think that much would be silly looking.
