Today is the Birthday of the USCG.
Been around since 1790. 234 years old.
I was lucky enough to serve from 1976-1997. My 1st cousin joined after me in 1980-2000, and his son is currently serving in the USCG.
I also went to the USCG Bicentennial Ball (200 years) in 1990 at Base Honolulu where I was stationed on board the USCGC Sassafras WLB-401.
