My first ride on our new to me 2006 GW Champion Trike with 21000 miles rode and drive great. Good acceleration and braking, handled great in curves and uneven road. I can see I'm going to need road pegs so I can stretch my legs. Also am going to need a back rest and would like to look into a toe/heel shiter. I usually only like toe shifter but it's pretty cramped on the GW and I might do better with a toe/heel. Over all I understand why GW owners are dyed in the wool loyal to their GW's. I can't wait for our first ride together.

Stormy here today, lucky you. ThumbUp Once you get accustomed to the toe/heal shift I think you'll like. I even put one on my two wheel ride.

Just me but i only use the heal shift on my Tri-Glide to go from first [Tap] into neutral..
The toe works fine for me... And it shifts faster up and down the gears... ThumbUp

Congrats on the new ride, I put the floor boards with the heel toe shifter on mine and like it a lot better, also found that I don't need the highway pegs anymore, the floor boards give me room to move my feet around.

If you haven't decided on the type of highway pegs, have a good look at Mic-O-Pegs.
They swing down, and give your legs lots of room. They remind me of a lazy boy recliner.....LOL
I've had the Kury's, and they're not as comfortable. IMHO!
