Anybody have the Harley air horn. Is it loud and worth the price?

Dealer has it for $215 installed. Just wondering how it compares to Howards Horn and other aftermarket air horns.

Trying to decide next purchase, the horn or the LED headlight. $420 installed.
Will the LED headlight look stupid with the stock running lights? I don't want the running lights. Some say the headlight looks stupid.:D

I just installed the WoLo Bad Boi horn. It's louder than the Harley Air Horn and cheaper. Easy to install. So don't pay for the HD symbol lol.

I have the HD air horn. Love it and yes, it is loud. George has the mini beast and the relay goes out on it every year. But the company is great and has replaced it for free each time and this time even sent him an extra relay. I would say my hd horn is a tad louder than his, but so close it just may be an illusion.

Usually if you have to use a loud horn, it's too late and your just blowing after the fact out of frustration [anger] Or to wake your wife so she can come down and open the garage door, because you forgot to take the remote with you.
Get the lights, better to see and be seen than to be heard, Light travels faster than sound.ThumbUp

How long is the warranty for the LEDs??

Harbor Freight air horns are very loud. Just put them where they cant be seen. At 14.95 for 3 horns, I have had 50 ft fishing boats drop off Plane from 40 KNTs. take about 5-8 gal fuel to get back up. Just where could you put them. They r Ugly red plastic!!

Just kidding, would not put these on my HOG

Just saw this on youtube. I can't stop laughing everytime watch it. I gotta get this setup.<br />

I cant see me putting them on my Trike..I would not spend money on that..

Also just reading around that these may not be legal to use for street use..

If you decide to buy them check with your state and local govenments first..

Triker, which horn are you talking about? The train horn? That's just a Rub-Goldburg setup. He made it himself and I'm sure it's illegal IF there was a cop nearby. :D

I sure wouldn't want to be next to him. :AGGHH:

There's also another Youtube video of some guys in a car with a horn like that. They show themselves going around and honking the horn at people walking around. It's also pretty funny, but boy do some people get overly pissed.

When I put the Harley air horns on my 2004, they only lasted 1/2 year. I put the Rivco duel air horns on my '10 TG. they are still working good 35,000 miles later. note also they have those covers on front to block the bugs.

Check the decibles of your OEM against the air horns before buying. Anything less than a 5 decible increase is not worth the money at all and a major improvement woul be 15 decibles, and maybe worth the money. Yea the light is more but at night worth it's weight in gold according to report I read in Thunder Press.

Me, I would go with the light. And maybe hide those harbor freight horns under the trunk somehow.

Rob.

Oh, JohnC installed the led's up front. You could ask him what he thinks about them.

Rivco. Gets my vote .9 years and stil loud as h311. I have got the attention of cars getting ready to pull out in front of me. Saved my bacon a few times.

Here's an interesting site:

New Harley Horn

I kinda remember reading something on the H-D site about the new bikes (forget what year it started, maybe 2010) getting a louder horn. My friend has the dual air horns on his Ultra dn my OEM is as loud, I think his are the Rivco. At least that is what they look like. Not impressive at all for the money.

This is another interesting site that if nothing else proves anyone can claim anything.
