I am in the process of getting my first trike. I was considering putting a Hannigan conversion kit on a Triumph Rocket III. I talked myself out of doing that and am now going the HD route.

I tried out a couple of trikes at a local store at noon today:

1. 2006 (21xxx miles) with Lehman kit. Trike ran, sounded, and looked good; but in second gear wobbled pretty bad.
2. 2013 (2500 miles) Tri Glide. Everything was sound and no wobble on this one.

Store also has a 2002 (16xxx miles) with MotorTrike kit.

I did not ride that one yet. It looks good and has been well maintained. If it checks out, I will be inclined to get that one based on cost. If not, I'll probably do the TG.

Welcome aboard,Don. Have you looked at Dream Machines of Texas,in Farmers Branch? They are great people to deal with and always have a ton of inventory. Talk to John Hamilton.
We purchased our Street Glide,there.

Hello Don and from the U.P. of Michigan welcome to the website. You have a large gathering of HD riders in your area that I am sure can give you pointers on different trike kits and options you may want. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask, that's what we are here for! Ride safe, stop by often!

welcome aboard both should be a good choice. Test ride that 2002 to make sure it fits you well.

That's where I was today. Seemed like a good place. They have several in stock to look at.

Welcome! I was previously in the North Dallas area for 50+ years, and now I'm in Orlando and just bought a 2016 Tri Glide. I did consider used and was told by most that if I was going to get a used Tri Glide, to stick to 2014-2016. Apparently lots of changes for the better after 2013. But I did get a new one so I don't really have any way to back that up.

Welcome, from deep in the heart of Texas! My wife bought her Spyder from Dream Machines Austin/Round Rock, and they were good people to deal with. I had my trike built by Mitchell Motorsports in Kyle, TX, from my two wheeler that I loved. Hope you enjoy the ride on a trike as much as my wife and I do! My wife is headed out tomorrow morning for the MidAmerica run in Osage Beach and I hope to be joining her in a couple days. We look forward to seeing you on the road!
