Just thought I'd give a 'Hello' from west central Florida, I've been lurking for a few weeks and thought it was time for a post. Right now there is no cycle of any kind in the driveway but hopefully in the next couple of months, a new Tri-Glide will appear. This forum is fantastic for all the info and help that's been posted and I've been reading and learning since I joined, hopefully I can contribute in the near future.

Welcome to Trike Talk, there is a lot of good info and people on this board to help you learn all about Trikes, glad you are no longer lurking and good luck in your search for your perfect trike.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, the Misses and I live in a 55+ community with HOA rules and such which prohibit motorcycles. We have a vote coming up in March at our annual meeting that would alter that rule and allow residents to have cycles on property with a few restrictions. We are hoping that we will get the 51% approval needed to make this change. If not then we are looking at having to keep the Trike off property at a storage facility which is not the best solution but will get us riding again on a regular basis.

Just north of Clearwater in Tarpon Springs cavie, we've been here since 2002 when we moved after retiring. We do not miss those winters when we lived and worked back north in Ohio.

Hello and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. Personally, I detest housing organizations, but the people that run straight pipes are the biggest reason that most of these rules are in place, and I do understand the noise part. But to rule that all motorcycle owners have to keep their bikes off site, that's ridiculous.

Expecting is always a fun part of trike ownership. I looked at Tri Glides too but the GL won out. HD makes a fine machine.
Good luck and hold on.

HOA's have their place in certain circumstances and I can honestly say that our property values have stayed very steady throughout the turndown the whole country has been going through. At the time we moved into our complex we weren't riding and had just retired, I guess we didn't pay enough attention to our covenants when we read through them.

Anyway, we have a lot of younger oldsters (lol) now and from talking to most folks I'm pretty confident the new rule will pass, we will know on March 11. I think either way we are going to purchase but would really like the bike to be sitting at home.
