Greetings from a new member

Hey there guys. Im new to this forum. I'm busy planning to mod my M109R for a bike/trike setup like the voyager/towpac/richland etc. The reason i want a setup like that is because I love riding but my wife does not want to ride with me coz she is scared of leaning on a normal bike so that will then work both ways. I've got my normal 2 wheels when I'm riding alone and I've got the "trike" when she rides along. My biggest problem is that there's nothing available here and to import one of those kits just is not financially viable. Im in the process of building my own but I might need some advice from the brilliant minds on this forum.

A bar across the back connects Both sides. Each wheel is attached to the rear wheel using the rear axle. Voyager uses tabs that slide over pins. The lean that you will encounter is nothing like a 2 wheeler . If you actually remove and install on a regular basis, you will be in the 2% of the owners of this type of set up. Thanks for the kind greetings and for the compliment on my bike. Its a constant work in progress and I do all the work myself.

Technically I'm a bit further in on my build. I've built 3 different setups already. The first was a solid frame attached to the bike with the side wheels running independent suspension. I tested that but it was "falling around" from side to side a lot. The second one The one I'm busy with at the moment, the trike wheels are attached solidly to the trike frame and that is a more floating frame setup. What I'm not certain with is how the trike wheels are supposed to line up with the bikes rear wheel. ive got mine directly in line with the rear wheel but from what i can see of the other designs out there the side wheels are behind the bike rear wheel on some of the setups but on most i cant make out if they are inline or not. i am hoping that somebody with one of these kits on their bikes can shed some light on the subject to help me. or does that not make as much off a difference where it is. my biggest problem at the moment is a steering wobble when i go over 70 kph...

The set up u show would work, if the wheels were tied to the rear wheel of the motorcycle. You would have to have something going through the rear axle shaft and have pins that attach to the outriggers. Everything has to move together. Rear wheel can't just sit unattached.

Hi John. not sure I follow. None of the designs I've seen have the rear wheel and outriggers tied together. And theres no way I could attach the outriggers to the rear wheel without compromising my original setup. I've been looking at various designs like the Voyager, Richland, Towpac and more. I also found another design on the net today called the hobo conversion. Will have to do some more research on these but from what I could make out on the Hobo Conversion, the rear wheels are definitely behind the bike's rear wheel and he's got a type of torflex axle set for the suspension. From all the designs I've seen this looks like one of the stronger options so far and he seems to be selling the plans as well. If that design is a good as I think I will gladly buy the plans if I don't succeed on my own design.

Thanks for all the warm welcome greetings. Put the trike design on hold for the next few days/weeks. gonna be busy with work and sorting out a few problems on one of my friend's bikes. I will start a thread to show progress when i start with the build again.
