Grab strap

Interesting, but I would be concerned about the strength of those plugs and their attachment to the panels.

Those sidecovers are several hundred dollars each and those mounting pegs are plastic, strong plastic, but still plastic. the streets near me would break one of those right off with a strap attached

If I hit a bump so hard that the strap breaks off one of the cover pegs while my Wife is holding on to the strap I will not be concerned about replacing the covers but rather more concerned about finding a place to turn around to go pick up my Wife.

Either way, that’s what I’ve done to add a grab strap.

If it’s not something someone else wants to do so be it.

I will however certainly report back if one of the pegs breaks off.
