GPS / with back up camera

installing a GPS with backup camera for the trailer any one else has done this ?

What model of GPS? Never heard of one having this before. Any chance it could also be turned on at any time to see what kind of weasels are behind you?

all back up cameras can be made to turn on at anytime. not talking about the GPS/camera, just back-up camera
1st wired up to back-up lights so that they turn on when in reverse.
2nd with a diode and a simple on/off switch added, any time you turn the switch on the camera comes on.
the change in wiring would be to come off of the back-up light with the diode to the back-up camera, then add a wire from the tail light to the back-up camera side of the wire. with the switch between the tail light and the diode, not in the wire from back-up light to camera.
the diode only allows the 12v to flow one direction, you want the camera to turn on when the back-up lights are on. after that when you turn on the switch which is on the wire from the tail light to the diode (on the camera side) the camera will come on, turn the switch off and the camera will go off, and the camera will always work when the back-up light is on.

back-up light-------------diode----/-----------------camera

now this will only work when the tail light is on, most of us ride with lights on.

installing a GPS with backup camera for the trailer any one else has done this ?

well it's installed , but I still wanting to place it on the trailer but it will take another ground and power sorce to make it work..
